Did anyone here about Jeffrey Dahmer being the murderer of Adam Walsh?

Has anyone heard that Jeffrey Dahmer may very well be the murderer of John Walsh's son (America's Most Wanted), who was kidknapped and murdered in the early 80's.

1. I heard that tonight, it is a horrible thing but it would be good for the family to know so they could have more closure even this many years later don't you think?
2. It would be nice for the family to have the case solved.
3. That wouldn't match Dahmer's MO, so it would be surprising.
4. I heard it tonight on CNN, I couldn't believe it... I very much hope John Walsh finds justice in this case. Afterall, it's the entire reason he went into "America's Most Wanted"... I hope we get the answer to this very soon.
5. i heard about a possible connection on a news blurb...but little else. either way its a shame that adam was killed and dahmer was a killer.
6. That is the most recent scuttlebutt on the internet and news channells, whereas before they attributed the killing to O'Toole. Unless there is confirmed DNA on Adam's body, it is likely to remain in the same confused status as it has always been. My heart goes out to John and his family; even if they find the true culprit, they will never find resolution...how could any one, ever, find peace in their six year old child being away from their attention for a milisecond then be abducted and murdered...NEVER!
7. Just before I came in to do this I watched Nancy Grace. Yes Dahmer was in Florida at that time, driving a blue van from Subway, where he worked, there were eyewitnesses who say they saw him with the boy and forcing him into the van. Sadly, there is no direct evidence to really tie him to the Walsh case. Plus his lawyer said he did not believe Dahmer did it and also an author who interviewed Dahmer said he told her he did not "do" the Walsh kid. I have prayed for the Walsh family for closure from day one. It brakes my heart that our children have to suffer so in this world. Dahmer's mother lived only a few blocks away from our house when it came out in the news. Some one killed her cat and nailed it to her front door. She didn't even raise her sons. See how mean spirited people can be. Dahmer is dead, the Walsh family has made no statment about this. I for one can't think of a punishment bad enough for people like Dahmer. Even in his death he is torturing so many families. I hope they can find the evidece they need to put an end to this. God Bless the Walsh family and all who suffer still because of scum like Dahmer.
8. no i didnt. No one has been convicted of the murder, although one man, Ottis Toole, repeatedly confessed and then retracted accounts of his involvement. Toole, allegedly a confidante of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, was never charged in the Walsh case. In September 1996, he died in prison of cirrhosis of the liver while serving a life sentence for other crimes. In early 2007, evidence surfaced potentially linking Jeffrey Dahmer to Adam Walsh's abduction. Dahmer was living in Miami Beach at the time Adam was murdered, and some eyewitnesses place him at the mall from which Adam was abducted. Dahmer's later actions included the severing of his victims' heads.[1]
9. They never said he was. They said there COULD be a possible link. They are checking it out.
