Was Jeffrey Dahmer linked to the slaying Adam Walsh?
I thought that Otis Toole was the killer...but I heard that Dahmer may have been the murderer of Adam Walsh.

- I read that yesterday but nothing more to confirm it.
- Otis Toole confessed [later recanted] but it was never proven - not to mention some facets of his confession were out of sync with the evidence in the case. Dahmer, as it turns out, was in the same town as Adam at the time of his disappearance; was 'seen' in the Sears where Adam disappeared from by two witnesses [one of whom says he saw what looked like Dahmer holding the child by his arm and dragging him into a blue van and driving away while the child was screaming 'No I don't want to go!"] However, Dahmer never confessed prior to his murder in prison, and indeed stated if he had done it why should he lie?...since he had fully confessed all his other crimes. He made note also that a child of that age was not of his liking. John Walsh is attempting to have the case revisited
- Interesting theory and it does make sense that when the police catch a serial killer they will check his prior addresses and look into any unsolved cases that fit their killer's m.o. at prior residences. Just because it doesn't fit Dahmer's m.o. when he was caught does not mean Dahmer wasn't in transition at the time of the Walsh crime. Remember that Dahmer practiced on animals before graduating to humans. It was about a decade between the Walsh tragedy and the discovery of Dahmer's atrocities in Wisconsin.
