Did Jesus save Jeffrey Dahmer's life?
Dahmer served his time at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, where he ultimately declared himself a born-again Christian. This conversion occurred after viewing Evangelical material sent to him by his father.[5] A local preacher, Roy Ratcliff, met with Dahmer and agreed to baptize him. After attending a church service in the prison chapel, an inmate tried to slash Dahmer's throat with a razor blade. Dahmer escaped the incident with superficial wounds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Dahmer

- Oops...
- Yeah well he's dead now. Jesus may have succeeded the first time, but not the second. I do know Dahmer once said his cannibalism was due to atheism. Funny thing though, after he converted to Jesus he still had the urges. (Recently I heard that Dahmer is in heaven, and he's one of Moses' personal cooks, or is it Abraham I forget -- and making a hefty salary. I guess repentance has its rewards.) .
- Wow....Don't know about that....but I heard Jeff was cooking for Jesus in heaven.
- You do know he also was murdered in jail correct?
- if Jeffrey asked Jesus Christ into his life, he would be saved.
- Jeffrey Dahmer is the 2nd comming of Christ
- yes, If he was sincere....no sin is unforgivable
- Christ saves anyone who accepts his life.
- I am sure he doesnt want Dahmer up there with him.
- Are you trying to be the most morbid person here, or something?
- if he truly was a born-again christian, then yes God saves everyone who will accept him
- At the time of his sentencing, Dahmer was trying to tell the judge he found Jesus and the judge pretty much just told him not to try that crap with him. Dahmer was murdered in jail a short time later. Not sure where you are getting your information. Dahmer is definitely DEAD.
- Eventually he was murdered so I don't think ANYONE saved his useless sick twisted life How could you be so dense? In the bible it says "Suffer the little children to come unto me" Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't so kind That's all I have to say I wonder when you psychos are going to stop asking questions on this site that make some of us sick!? I notice the religious nutcases here not real Christians are voting down our decent answers
- if Dahmer turned from his wicked ways(repented) and believed in Christ as the payment of his sins, then yes, dahmer will be in heaven when we get there. I believe there will be a lot of surprised people up there, many will be there we would not have believed to ever be savable, and there will be some missing that we thought surely were saved.
- I think that's just a whole lot of BS. That dude totally got what was coming to him, though.
- does it matter God Knows live your life right cause you will stand for you not him be a shame to learn he made it and you missed it wouldnt it ? ALL have the same chance and Atonement some accept..... it some wont
- Only God can read the heart. If he was truly sorry for his sins and trusted in Jesus as his Savior, he would have gone to heaven.
- Another interesting fact about that... he was baptized FOUR times... yes four... what was that about (?)... full immersion all four times...
- Only God knows his eternal destination. In my opinion I dont see how a man can murder that many people then all of a sudden seek forgiveness after he lands in jail. Its obvious he was far away from God,for if he wasnt then he wouldve been remorseful of those sins.Perhaps God wouldve stopped him from doing what he was doing early on to save his life. But it gets to a point where a person commits the sin over and over and has no regard in being forgiven or stopping.Have to think would he have stopped murdering people had he not got caught?I mean how many people go kill 17 people and then repent and say I am a born again christian?Im not going to condemn him for it is not my job. However his death is what he deserved for it says "an eye for an eye".In this case about 34 eyes so Im not sure we can call him a born again christian. The bible says all sins will be forgiven men, however it also says whoever murders will be subject to judgement.Seeing as he murdered alot of innocent blood,I'd have to believe a terrible judgement awaits.Just my opinion though,I wouldnt know. But honestly would you believe after he hurt so many people and caused so much heartache, that he would still walk in the door of heaven?
- Who knows? It's possible, since he hoped to be baptized. Not being one to judge, I will assume that Jesus saved his soul. Poor guy. Not to diminish the tragedy of his victims, but it must be horrible to have a brain like that. I'll bet there was a bath tub ring around the baptismal tank you couldn't scrub off in a week (spiritually-speaking) after he was baptized.
- I've always found it bizarre that Christians are so eager and willing to forgive even the most horrible of crimes as soon as the monster who committed them says he has found Jesus! When you consider this, it is easy to understand why they always forgive their own religious leaders who are caught swindling them (Jim Baker, for example).
- If his conversion to Christianity was sincere, then as distasteful as it may seem, he would have been saved
- if he was saved by jesus, jesus changed his mind soon after when Dahmer was beaten to death.
